Who We Are
Peoples Construction Corporation is a full service design/build general contractor based in Flowood, Mississippi. The family owned company spans three generations with the third generation now actively working in administration and project management. Projects consist of commercial buildings in the central Mississippi area ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000. Superintendents, carpenters, and steel erectors are on staff, and subcontractors with long standing relationships supply the balance of the construction disciplines.
Peoples Constrution, the authorized supplier for Varco Pruden Buildings in central Mississippi, is one of the top volume Varco Pruden dealers in the country. Varco Pruden Buildings is the nation's second largest pre-engineered building supplier.
Peoples Construction's achievements have been recognized statewide and nationally by winning the Mississippi Associated Builders and Contractors merit award, and the Varco Pruden Buildings Hall of Fame awards. The company stays current on modern construction materials and practices by being active in the Construction Standards Institute, OSHA safety courses, and other continuing education programs.

History
The company was founded in 1966 by Ray O. Peoples and his wife Ezelle Peoples as Peoples Erecting Company. The company then specialized in steel erection for other contractors. In 1970, Peoples became an authorized representative for Varco Pruden and later changed its name to Peoples Construction Corporation. At that time Ray’s eldest son Steve Peoples left his job as a manager for a Fortune 500 firm and joined the company. Upon completion of his education at Mississippi State University, Steve’s younger brother Charles came on board. Presently, there are four members of the third generation in management. Peoples Construction has now become the premier general contractor for small and medium sized commercial construction projects in central Mississippi.

Our goal is a simple one: Provide the customer with such a level of quality and service that they will be confident in recommending us to others. To do this, Peoples must have functional and attractive designs, competitive pricing, quality workmanship, timely work progress as well as responsive service after completion. Attainment of this goal is shown in the fact that 95% of Peoples Construction Corporation business is from repeat or referred customers.
